About Our Founder
Darrell Jones (Beloved), Founder and Executive Director
Darrell Jones, affectionately known as “Beloved,” is the heart and visionary behind Stirred-Up Ministries. His journey began in 1995 when he was working for the state and pastoring a metro Atlanta church. Witnessing firsthand how both the state and church systems were failing children, Darrell felt compelled to act. Guided by faith and a deep desire to make a difference, he started small—delivering Thanksgiving baskets to children and families in need. These humble beginnings paved the way for the birth of Stirred-Up Ministries.
Darrell’s personal life has been marked by its share of challenges, giving him a profound empathy and the ability to connect authentically with children. He doesn’t see strangers—especially when it comes to children. His experiences enable him to see beyond pain, forging genuine connections that empower young people to navigate life’s storms and make better choices.

Since 1993 Stirred-Up Ministries, Inc. has impacted the lives of over 3200 metro Atlanta youth. Stirred-Up Ministries, Inc. has seen lives changed through the love of Jesus the Christ as young men and women discover their gifts and find hope in the future.
Our Vision
To “Stir Up” the gifts and talents of metro area youth by investing in their education, inviting them into our homes, and helping them build Christ-centered character. To help them see past their current condition and embrace God’s vision and purpose for their lives.
Our Mission
To assist metro area youth become the change agents in their communities, cities, counties, state and country through their God given abilities.
Our Purpose
To Stir Up the gift of hope with metro area youth by developing Christ-centered relationships through investing in their education, inviting them into our homes and helping them become the change agents in their community.
Our Commitment
To establish a one on one relationship with each child for them to personally experience God’s love in their life.
We will personify God’s love for them by:
Rescuing
inner-city youth from the blight of their current environment
Creating
a foundation of hope through Christian family life, knowledge & opportunity
Developing
Christ-like character in these children so they can pursue God with all their hearts.
